New years resolution
John, at a New Year’s party, turns to his friend, Dave, and asks for a smoke.

“I thought you made a New Year’s resolution and that you don’t smoke,” Dave says.

“I’m in the process of quitting,” replies John with a grin. “I am in the middle of phase one.”

“Phase one?” asks David.

“Yeah,” laughs John, “I’ve quit buying.”

Hello Brothers,

This month my Wife and I celebrated our daughter’s first birthday and I wanted to thank you for the show.  It has helped me through self doubt, overtime to make ends meet, and long nights with a fussy baby.

Our daughter is such a blessing and a MUCH better child than I deserve.

I joke with my Wife that if God never gives you more than you can handle then I must be a lightweight with how good she is.

Our decision to have my Wife be a stay at home mom has predictably made things a little tight money wise and I have been praying with my Daughter every night for God to give me wisdom to make good choices with our money.

If you guys have room for us in a prayer I sure would appreciate it.

Thank you for your time and congratulations on the move and new expanded video capability.   It has been great to see you guys on YouTube!

George.

Weekly Bible Verses:
James 4:13-17

Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.

MABLETON, GA (CBS46) –

Two men tried to outgun the owner of a gun store in Mableton, but it did not work out as planned.

It happened Monday morning at the Dixie Gun and Pawn on Veterans Memorial Highway in Cobb County.

Jimmy Groover told police two men wearing masks came in with guns drawn, demanding that he get on the floor, while shouting they were going to kill him.

Groover said he was wearing a pistol on his hip, and he used it to fire back at the robbers, killing one of them.

Police said a series of bullets were fired in both directions.

One of the store’s front windows was shattered from a gunshot.

The other man escaped in a silver Dodge Charger.

Groover and his family have run the store in the same location for about 30 years. He said his store has been broken into more times than he can remember, but no one has ever tried to rob the place while it was open.

It’s at a little church in central Texas.  Just outside Burnett. She’s an awesome woman.

Great Show, even better Hosts!
By brunsvoldp – Aug 21
I love listening to Troy and Doug Both are Godly men speaking on topics that affect all Christian, gun owners. I love hearing them speak on their feelings on gun ownership, as well as the teachings they layout from the Bible. Although they aren’t my neighbors, they feel like good friends that I’ve known for ages. I look forward to their podcast every week. They make me laugh and encourage me both in my beliefs involving God and my beliefs on guns. God Bless!

Afternoon gentlemen like all that you do for God and guns. I live in New York NOT THE CITY upstate and we would like to cut them from the rest of the state. Keep doing what you are I enjoy listening too the both of you.

Troy, (From June 24th sorry I didn’t find this one until this week.)
I am an avid listener of podcasts and love yours also.

For about the last 4 episodes I have been having an issue – when I listen to your podcast it causes my iPhone to “reboot”in the middle of the podcast – typically 3 or 4 times per podcast.  I have 5 or 6 other podcasts which I listen to consistently – and yours is the only one I am having this issue with.  For what it is worth, I am using Apple’s built in Podcast app to download and listen to your podcast.

Do you have any input or advice? A no, outside my pay grade.Maybe Doug knows

Thanks – Tim

91-year-old Right-to-Carry permit holder defends himself against robber, WXYZ, Detroit, Mich.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 23, 2016

A 91-year-old man was in the parking lot of a Rite Aid pharmacy in Eastpointe, Mich. when he was approached by a man acting erratically. The stranger followed the elderly man and pointed an object at him. The 91-year-old, who is also a Right-to-Carry permit holder, responded to the threat by drawing a gun and shoot the assailant in the neck, prompting the man to flee. Police eventually caught up with the wounded man who was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Following the incident, Eastpointe Deputy Police Chief Eric Keiser told a local media outlet, “This was an attempted robbery of the shooter… The person who fired the shots had a CPL and was lawfully carrying a handgun and said that he defended himself when he was attacked.” (WXYZ, Detroit, Mich. 08/22/16)

(Some warning labels sent by Jeff Bowen, Greg Laurie is the senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, Calif)

  • A label on a baby stroller warns: “Remove Child Before Folding.” I pity this poor kid.

A brass fishing lure with a three-pronged hook on the end warns: “Harmful if Swallowed.” That is especially true if you are a fish, but I assume some human decided to give it a nibble, too.
  • A warning on a flush-able toilet brush states: “Do not use for Personal Hygiene.” Now that one is just downright frightening.
  • How about this label on a bottle of drain cleaner that warns: “If you do not understand, or cannot read, all directions, cautions and warnings, do not use this product.” If you cannot read, how would you know what that warning label is saying? Perhaps a skull and cross-bones would have done the trick.
  • A cartridge for a laser printer warns, “Do not Eat Toner.” Thanks for the reminder. I was going to have some with my burrito today at lunch, but now that you’ve warned me, I’ll pass.
  • A label on a 13-inch wheel on a wheelbarrow warns: “Not Intended for Highway Use.” Did some guy actually do this? He must have been fast runner!
  • A can of self-defense pepper spray warns users: “May Irritate Eyes.” Yeah, I was kind of hoping for that, especially the eyes of the person who is attacking me!
  • A dishwasher carries this warning: “Do not allow Children to play in the Dishwasher.” This was probably written for the same person who folded their kid in the stroller!
  • A household iron warns users: “Never iron clothes while they are being worn.” OK, I’m going to confess to this one. I’ve put on a shirt, seen a wrinkle, and then ironed the wrinkled spot while wearing it. So I guess all these labels are not crazy. Or maybe they are and I am. You pick.
  • One final warning label. On the side of household knife: “Never Try to Catch a Falling Knife.” Ouch.

14 And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying, 15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatic, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water. 16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him. 17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. 18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. 19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? 20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. 21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” Matthew 17: 14-21 (KJV)

Woman defends home and daughter from violent intruders, WTOC, Savannah, Ga. 04/26/16
Shannon Linton and her teenage daughter were at home sleeping in Savannah, Ga. when a pair of robbers broke in. At first unaware of the intrusion, Linton went to investigate the suspicious noise when she was punched in the face by one of the intruders. Linton retreated to a bedroom, retrieved a 12-gauge shotgun and fired at the home invaders. Upon meeting armed resistance, the intruders fled the scene.
Following the incident, Linton told a local media outlet, “I did learn that at least now I know that I can protect us. I don’t have to rely on my husband, if, when he is at work, I know I can do it. I don’t have to be afraid of that anymore.” (WTOC, Savannah, Ga. 04/26/16)

Hello Troy,
I guess I could call myself a long time listener.   One of my hobbies is running and I love to listen to your podcast if I find myself running on the treadmill.
I think you have been mentioning that you are working on a protection policy for your church.   I find myself in a similar position presenting an outline and an initial draft of a policy to the Deacons in the near future.
Have you run across any especially good resources for this that you could recommend.   I’m working my way through A Time to Kill which has really had an influence on my thinking.   However, I would love to see any examples or best practices that you have run into that you may be able to share.
Obviously churches don’t leave their protection policies on the internet so it is actually kind of challenging to find a lot of practical information.
Thanks for anything you may be able to offer. Scott Gobrogge

Hey Troy,
Love your show!

Just thought I’d comment about the “sniper rifle” request your nephew I believe you said, made. First of all, I agree that he should get comfortable with what you have first and then begin to build up his own collection, but here is an idea. I’d prefer to build off a varmint platform with a .308 caliber which is a perfect longer range option for any purpose, especially hunting, and it will go out to 1,000 yards or so. Here’s my very affordable wishlist in a “longer” range platform. All told $770.00 without ammo. Good starter package, and then you can add the higher grade optics and triggers and such later. This is literally on my wish list from Sportsmansguide.com.

Senior Right-to-Carry permit holder shoots two attackers, WPVI, Philadelphia, Pa. 03/03/2016

A 65-year-old resident and his wife were walking home from their business in Philadelphia, Pa. when a pair of men attacked them. The resident, a Right-to-Carry permit holder, responded to the attack by drawing a .45-caliber handgun and firing at the assailants, striking them both and causing them to halt their attack. Police caught up with the attackers a short time later and transported them to the hospital.

The armed citizen did suffer injuries during the incident, with his attorney telling a local media outlet, “This was a matter of life or death. If he didn’t do what he did, and he didn’t have the training to do it. I think we would be at a funeral right now. It’s that bad.” (WPVI, Philadelphia, Pa. 03/03/2016) https://www.nraila.org/articles/20160304/senior-right-to-carry-permit-holder-shoots-two-attackers-wpvi-philadelphia-pa-03032016

6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, 7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. 10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. 11 To him be the dominion forever and ever. Facebook already prohibits people from offering marijuana, pharmaceuticals and illegal drugs for sale, and the company said on Friday that it was updating its policy to include guns. The ban applies to private, person-to-person sales of guns. Licensed gun dealers and gun clubs can still maintain Facebook pages and post on Instagram.

Although Facebook was not directly involved in gun sales, it has served as a forum for gun sales to be negotiated, without people having to undergo background checks. The social network, with 1.6 billion monthly visitors, had become one of the world’s largest marketplaces for guns and was increasingly evolving into an e-commerce site where it could facilitate transactions of goods. The ban thrusts Facebook into the center of another major societal debate. Discussions over gun control have flared anew after the mass shootings last year in San Bernardino, Calif., and a community college in Oregon, among others. In January, President Obama gave a speech promising to tighten enforcement of laws governing unlicensed gun sales. In response, some individual sellers said they would turn to sites like Facebook, which allowed them to freely advertise guns for sale.

Armed Marine veteran saves deputy, Austin American-Statesman, Austin, Texas, 01/28/16
On January 19, Bastrop County, Texas Deputy Dylan Morris attempted to pull over a vehicle due to the driver’s erratic behavior. The driver did not initially comply, but eventually stopped at a gas station. Once the vehicle was stopped, Dorris attempted to arrest the driver, however, the driver resisted. While Dorris was struggling with the driver, the man reached for the deputy’s weapon.
Thankfully, Marine veteran, and Right-to-Carry permit holder, Scott Perkins came upon the struggle and immediately intervened. Perkins drew a gun and ordered the driver to “freeze,” which halted the attack and prompted the criminal to flee.
Following the incident, Dorris said of Perkins to the Austin American-Statesman, “I’m alive today because of him,” adding, “There are no words to explain it. He’s such an outstanding citizen. He’s here for our country, our community and you really feel the love.” Despite his heroics, Perkins remained modest, telling the paper, “Anytime somebody is in need of help you should assist them. It doesn’t matter whether your life’s in danger or not, you should always assist anybody who is in need.” (Austin American-Statesman, Austin, Texas, 01/28/16)

Santa’s Lap
A father took his son Billy to the Penney’s mall to see Santa. They stood in line awhile, and finally the boy was able to meet Santa and sit on his lap.

“What would you like for Christmas, Billy?” asked Santa.

“An X-Box and a Hobbit game,” Billy said.

“Okay, we’ll see what we can do about that,” said Santa with a big smile.

Later on that day they also went to see Santa at the Sears mall. When Santa asked Billy what he wanted for Christmas, Billy said, “An X-Box and a Hobbit game.”

“Will you be a good boy and do what your daddy tells you?” Santa asked.

Billy turned to his dad and said, “Let’s go back to the other Santa, Dad.”

“Why Billy?” asked his father.

“Because I didn’t have to make any deals with that one.”

Two blondes walk beside each other down the street. One of them sees a broken piece of mirror on the ground, grabs it, looks at it and says, “This girl looks so familiar, but I can’t remember where I know her from.” The other girl grabs it from her hand, takes a look at it, and says, “It’s me you idiot!”

A church’s bell ringer passed away. The church posted the job opening in the local newspaper’s classified ads and a man came in with no arms wanting the job. The clergy weren’t sure he could do it, but he convinced them to let him try it. They climbed the bell tower and the guy ran toward the bell and hit it with his head, producing a beautiful melody. They gave him the job on the spot. The next day he went to ring the bell, tripped, bounced off the bell and fell to the sidewalk below. Two priests were walking past. One asked, “Do you know this guy?” The other responded, “No, but his face rings a bell.”

The next day, the dead man’s twin brother came in for the again vacant bell ringer position. He also had no arms. The clergy led him up to the bell tower, where he ran at the bell, tripped and fell to the sidewalk below. The same two priests walked up. The first asked, “Do you know him?” The second responded, “No, but he’s a dead ringer for his brother.”

Thomas M. Buckley Hi Troy & Doug. Doug I’ve got a holster I will gift to you – if you  want it. I had ordered a VP9 (Troy, you may remember my past email below. We have emailed several times, but I don’t think I’ve ever corresponded with Doug), but before it came in I ran into a mint used flat dark earth Glock 19 with night sights & picked it up for a steal – so I am out of the VP9 business for now. I had already purchased a used (but never actually used) high quality Stealth Gear AIWB for the VP9 from a buddy, obviously I don’t need it now. Instead of selling it I’d rather support you guys as y’all work every week to provide us with great God-centered gun related content that I find value in. Doug, just send me your address and I will ship it to you. Photo is attached to this email.

God bless!

Senior Citizen Uses Gun to Turn Tables During Home Invasion

CARTER COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) – A senior citizen turned the tables during a home invasion. The elderly man woke up during a nap about 10 a.m. Tuesday to find a burglar ransacking his house. When Robert Hamm got up to investigate what was causing a loud noise, he saw a man going through the drawers in one of his bedrooms. “I saw the man with his arms loaded up with my tools,” Hamm said. The burglar, who’d climbed in through the bedroom window, apparently didn’t know or care that the 75-year-old was home. Hamm, who keeps his gun handy, wasn’t about to let the crook escape with his stuff. “I just pointed the gun at him and told him I’d blow him in two if he moved,” Hamm said, “and I made him lay down here in the middle of the floor.” Hamm called 911 and held him at gunpoint until police showed up at his home along Blue Hall Road in Olive Hill. “I wanted to shoot him really bad,” Hamm said. “I really wanted to shoot him.” Hamm says he’s known the suspect, Larry Lee Thompson, since he was born, and that he has a reputation for this sort of thing. The suspect’s sister, Loretta Boggs, lives up the road. She was devastated her brother forced her neighbor to this extreme. “It hurts me deeply,” Boggs said. “It hurts the whole family. We love him, but what can we do?” She says he’s been living recently in Richmond, Kentucky. Thompson was taken into custody by the Carter County Sheriff’s Department.

Comedy Corner:
Three guys had an accident and went straight to heaven. When they got there, St. Peter said, “We only have one rule in heaven. Don’t step on the ducks!”

They entered heaven and sure enough there were ducks all over the place. It was almost impossible not to step on a duck and although they tried their best to avoid them the first guy accidentally stepped on one.

Along came St. Peter with the homeliest woman he ever saw. St. Peter chained them together and said, “Your punishment for stepping on a duck is to spend eternity chained to this homely woman”.

The next day, the second guy stepped accidentally on a duck and along came St. Peter, who didn’t miss a thing, and with him was another extremely homely woman. He chained them together with the same admonishment as the first.

The third guy had observed all this and not wanting to be chained for all eternity to a horrible looking woman was very careful where he stepped. He managed to go for months without stepping on any ducks. Then one day, St. Peter came up to him with the most gorgeous woman he had ever laid eyes on. St. Peter chained them together without saying a word.

The guy remarked, “I wonder what I did to deserve being chained to you for all eternity?”

She replied, “I don’t know about you, but I stepped on a duck”!

Hey guys. Love the show! Thanks for taking the time out of your lives to produce the podcast.

Had a quick request. You guys are always talking about the guns you’ve traded or anything in general that you’ve to traded with people. Could you do a podcast on bartering? I think it’s kind of a lost art and I would enjoy hearing some of y’all’s tips, tricks and stories about your bartering experiences. I’m not much good at it yet but it sounds like there are some awesome deals to be had.

Bible Verses
“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also He said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son. But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:3-8 ESV)

  • Meet at neutral safe well lit place if at all possible, take partner with you if possible.
  • Keep emotion out of it.
  • Don’t drive further than they are willing to, unless too big to bring to you.
  • Ask up front if they are willing to negotiate.
  • Let them name the price and talk as much as possible.
  • Never make an offer unless forced, and then make a dirt cheap offer that will get them talking.
  • Take your time looking over the item. Noting every blemish, scratch, area of concern. Make sure it works, in the case of firearms with permission of owner I clear the gun and check it by dry firing or use of snap caps to make sure they cycle and the hammer goes click.
  • Find out who the decision maker is and only deal with them, if they aren’t there then don’t go.
  • Have multiple things you are willing to barter with, cash is last for you to put up.
  • Always trade up. Shotguns to rifles, Rifles to handguns. Also brand names up and value up.
  • Be willing to walk away. There is another deal around the corner.
  • Make a fair trade don’t take advantage of people who are not capable of making a good decision, don’t burn bridges you may trade again with them, don’t brag about ripping someone off you’ll get a bad reputation and people won’t refer others to you.

Troy & Doug,
I found your podcast last week and have been listening to about 2 broadcasts a day while at work. I’m a fellow believer in Christ and an outdoor enthusiast! I found your site because I started following Doug on his YouTube site and webpage (legallyconcealed.org). I knew there was something different about you Doug from the start, and after I got your “Counter Violence” book and read the dedication page, I said out loud…”I thought so!” It said, “dedicated to my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!”

I very much appreciate both of your real life stories and real life faith.

Would love to hear your thoughts on gun registration, and would you recommend purchasing anything you have to register? I am a law abiding citizen, and live in a state that is restrictive and do not want to have anything that is registered, because let’s face it, the first people the Nazi’s put in jail were Pastors and all registered gun owners.

Subject: Tithing
Hello, Just came across your show and I was very excited about it so I downloaded a few of the 1st episodes. After listening to a few I have heard some things that seem very concerning to me. Overall you guys seem to be a lot more zealous and knowledgeable about secular things (movies, sports etc…) than biblical things even though you both say you have grown up in Christian homes.

Specifically I would like to ask you to support your position on tithing… I can only find 3 examples in scripture of people or groups tithing. That would be Abraham, the Israelites (under OT law) and the Pharisees (also Israelites under OT law). Which one should I tithe like?

Thank you

Weekly Bible Verses

I thank God whom I serve, as did my ancestors, with a clear conscience, as I remember you constantly in my prayers night and day. As I remember your tears, I long to see you, that I may be filled with joy. I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well.  For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands,  for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God,  who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, and which now has been manifested through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,  for which I was appointed a preacher and apostle and teacher, which is why I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me. 2 Timothy 1:3-12 (ESV)

Initially, Haley didn’t find anyone in the home and went back to bed. However, another noise roused Haley again, at which point she discovered an intruder in a bedroom closet. Haley ordered the man to stay still and held him at gunpoint in the closet until police arrived. Following the incident, Haley told a local media outlet, “I’m glad I had that gun… And I’m thinking they (burglars) won’t try this again anytime soon.”

“Wow!” Bill told his friend Isaac. “Check this out! The Bible says here that the Israelites crossed over the Red Sea on foot!”

“Well,” replied Isaac, “That’s actually the Sea of Reeds, which at that point was actually very shallow, so they probably crossed over in just two feet of water.”

“Oh,” said Bill, and he continued to read, disappointed. “Hey, wait! Check this out! It says here that the Egyptian army drowned in just two feet of water!”

Point of View
One enterprising man asked the Lord, “Lord, how long is a million years to you?”
The Lord replied, “To me, a million years is like a second.”
The man asked, “Lord, how much is a million dollars to you?”
The Lord said, “To me, a million dollars is like a penny.”
The man asked, “Lord, may I have a penny?”
The Lord answered, “Sure, just a second.”

What are the Top 10 things you taught your son/daughter that every hunter should know about deer hunting? As a first time hunter I have no one teaching me so I am teaching and learning alone.

(Doug’s reply)

1. Know what you are about to shoot at
2. What does a deer track look like.
3. What does deer droppings look like.
4. How to tell a buck from a doe.
5. What is a scrape.
6. What is a rub
7. Be sure of your target before you pull the trigger. Once the bullet is gone you can’t take it back.
8. Where should you hold the cross hairs on the scope to make the best possible shot.
9. Find a gun suited for your child. Don’t start them on a big gun they won’t like. Practice with a 22 before to get used to the scope.
10. Aim small miss small.

Great show guys. I’m a junior in high school and I really love to listen to this on the way to and from school. Love to hear about God and love the discussions about the things going on in the world today. Keep up the great work guys.

Weekly Bible Verses

Persecution Will Come

“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Beware of men, for they will deliver you over to courts and flog you in their synagogues, and you will be dragged before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them and the Gentiles. When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. Brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death, and you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next, for truly, I say to you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes. “A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. It is enough for the disciple to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign those of his household. Matthew 10: 16-25 (ESV)

Dove Hunting Tips

  1. Feather weight loads no bigger than 7 1/2, use an open choke or no more than Improved Cylinder. And save some shells and your shoulder.
  2. Get you head down on the stock in a proper weld, if not you can be shooting high. Keep your cheek snugly tucked against the comb of the stock, or your side-to-side swings will be all over the place.
  3. Take time to pick the best position on the field, looking for the best flight paths, and coverage to give you the most advantage.
  4. make sure you are using proper lead on the doves.
  5. first things first, stick to your first bird until you see em drop or else you will miss more often trying to get doubles or triples.
  6. Practice with some friend to find out your pattern and proper lead.

89-Year-old Arthur Lewis was working at his store, the Jewelry Exchange, in Palm Beach County, Fla. when a man entered the shop and pretended to need his watch fixed. The man then drew a gun and attempted to rob Lewis. Lewis responded to the threat by grasping the criminal’s firearm and drawing a pistol. After a physical altercation, Lewis shot the robber, which prompted the thief to flee. Police caught up with the robber when his getaway driver sought police assistance for the wounded criminal. The armed robber targeted the wrong person. Lewis is a veteran of World War II, and previously defended himself against an attempted armed robbery in 2010.
