Feedback:

Hey guys,

I stumbled across your podcast a few weeks ago and it is exactly what I have been looking for. I am a Christian directly followed by a husband and father of 3. I have recently gotten back into my interest if firearms.  I grew up around guns and hunting but as I got married and had kids I didn’t have the time. Recently my adult daughter was the victim of a violent crime and the reality hit me that I must do a better job of protecting my family! I have gotten myself a gen 5 Glock 19 for my EDC,  taken classes and am currently waiting on my CCW permit. I was wondering if you all have or would consider a closed Facebook group to accompany the podcast? I listen to a few other podcasts and one of them is for Christian Dads called Dad Tired. They have a closed group for like minded Christian dads to discuss various topics.  I recently posted in that group inquiring if others had taken on the responsibility of protecting their families using their 2nd amendment rights. I was shocked that in less than 24 hours later there were well over 200 comments from Christian Dads that shared my views and interest in the subject. I am a member of a few other Facebook gun groups but they are full of a bunch of knuckleheads and sometime content can be far from Christian. Anyway, just thought I would throw it out there that there would be interest in this or something similar. Thank you guys so much for all that you do. I plan to keep on keeping my gun close and my bible closer!

Little Johnny

The teacher said to his class one day, “Anyone who thinks they are stupid please stand up.

Nobody stood up so the teacher said, “I’m sure someone thinks they are stupid in this class!”

At this point Little Johnny stood up.

The teacher said, “Oh Johnny! So you think you’re stupid then?”

Little Johnny replied, “No, I just felt bad that you were standing up on your own.”

From our buddy Chad:  “Knock Knock”. “Who’s there”? “Hernia.” “Hernia who”? “Hernia good jokes lately”?

Bible Verse

16 for the righteous falls seven times and rises again,

but the wicked stumble in times of calamity.

17 Do not rejoice when your enemy falls,

and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles,

18 lest the Lord see it and be displeased,

and turn away his anger from him.

19 Fret not yourself because of evildoers,

and be not envious of the wicked,

20 for the evil man has no future;

the lamp of the wicked will be put out.

The mother shot the man in the head when he refused her orders to stop the vehicle, police say

A mother shot a man who tried to steal her SUV while her two toddlers were still inside the vehicle in Dallas Wednesday night, police said.

It happened about 10 p.m. outside a Shell service station in the 100 block of West Camp Wisdom Road.

“It happened so fast,” said the woman, who asked to be identified as Michelle because she feared for her family’s safety. “Not even five minutes, not even five minutes. It happened so fast!”

She asked not to show her face on camera as she recounted the incident.

The mother had stepped inside the gas station when a man climbed into the driver’s seat and tried to drive away, according to police. Michelle said her 2-year-old and 4-year-old children were still in the back seat.

She jumped back into the vehicle and ordered the man to stop the car.

“I seen my two babies still back there,” Michelle explained. “I’m asking the man, ‘hey, my kids are back here. Stop! Pull over! Pull over!’ He’s not even acknowledging anything about my kids.”

Michelle says she tried to push the gear into park as the car rolled down the parking lot. When he refused to stop, Michelle pulled a gun from the glove box and shot the man, who then drove the SUV into a utility pole, according to police.

“When I see that he’s not trying to stop, he kept hitting the gas, I went toward my glove compartment and grabbed my gun and I fired at him from the side,” she said.

Michelle and her children were unharmed.

“Just to see him slumped over like I was just like, Lord, my kids [are] in the car. They done seen me shoot somebody,” she recalled.

The man, identified by police as Ricky Wright, was transported to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

Wright, 36, was charged with two counts of unlawful restraint and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, police said.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Michelle was not facing charges, according to police.
