Going Down!!

As the storm raged, the captain realized his ship was sinking fast. He called out, “Anyone here know how to pray?” One man stepped forward. “Aye, Captain, I know how to pray.” “Good,” said the captain, “you pray while the rest of us put on our life jackets – we’re one short.”

Listener Feedback
From: Chris Simpson Subject: Facebook/MeWe

I’m sitting here listening Episode 139 about Facebook kicking all the gun trader sites off.  Just a heads up. Facebook is not buying MeWe, they (MeWe) actually has posted about this a couple of times.  I do agree, it has taken me a couple of days to figure it out.  If y’all decide to get on there, contact me, I try to post things to help you get the site figured out.  There are a good number of gun trader sites that have moved over to MeWe.  I’m just trying to keep folks together.  I have a account but it’s not as easy to operate, at least to me. Hopefully we, the gun community, will get moved to one spot so that our voice will be heard.

Cheaper than Dirt has the mags for $2.97 that you’ll need for that new gun Doug. Check out as they seem to have some of the best deals for military caliber ammo.

About the verses that Troy shared, I’d like to elaborate a little. This is my favorite passage to share with young people. That word “devour” means a lot! Satan is not trying to “distract” us! He will use distractions in the process of killing us and then eating us, so that no trace is left behind!

Thanks for all you do guys!

Hey Troy and Doug, thanks for the podcasts. Just got baptized last Sunday and y’all were part of the reason to make my next step with Christ. Please pray for me because I’m just starting my journey and learning to deal with my issues.02/06/16, 7:40 PM MeWe

Weekly Bible Verses:
Now there was a disciple at Damascus named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.” 11 And the Lord said to him,“Rise and go to the street called Straight, and at the house of Judas look for a man of Tarsus named Saul, for behold, he is praying, 12 and he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias come in and lay his hands on him so that he might regain his sight.” 13 But Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem. 14 And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on your name.” 15 But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel. 16 For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name.” 17 So Ananias departed and entered the house. And laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road by which you came has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 And immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and he regained his sight. Then he rose and was baptized; 19 and taking food, he was strengthened. Acts 9:10-19 (ESV)

NRA Armed Citizen
Armed Citizen saves police officer during violent attack, Philadelphia Daily News, Philadelphia, Pa. 02/10/16

An officer was attempting to break up two teens involved in an altercation near Upper Darby High School in Upper Darby Township, Pa. when one of the teens attacked the officer. Soon after, the other teen began attacking the officer, and then a crowd that had gathered to watch the fight advanced on him as well. A resident of the neighborhood, and Right-to-Carry permit holder, became aware of the situation, retrieved a gun and confronted the mob. The resident was able to stop the group from attacking the officer until additional police could arrive.

Following the incident, Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood told a local media outlet, “If it wasn’t for the good Samaritan stepping forward, he’d have been dead meat… There’s no doubt they would have attacked him.” (Philadelphia Daily News, Philadelphia, Pa. 02/10/16)
